Default Valve Cams...?

My machinist just called. He's putting the heads back together and has 6 'cams' with the valves. His question is, do those go to the exhaust or intake valves?

My response is "uhhhh, what now?" I told him I'd go back and look at pictures/video of the disassembly but realized that it was the previous machine shop that retired 4 years ago now, that took the heads apart.

Anyone have any idea what the answer to his question is?

Greetings!!

I've never heard of "valve cams." He may be referring to valve rotators which are installed on the exhaust valves only.
