Hello,
Did GMC offer this type of bucket seats is 1966? I have never seen them before. They look nice but are they an original option? Thank you, Fritz |

Yes those are original bucket seats, those seats came out first in 1966 along with carpet. It was kind of a transitional year to show more was to come with the all new line of trucks in 1967. My 68 has very similar seats but the pleating is vertical rather than horizontal

I really like them! Your seats look original.The restored truck and be seen on Ebay now. It has the 361 CI V6 and automatic transmission. |

Actually I had my seats reupholstered back in 1992 but as close to original as possible, the difference was the center pleats are actually stitched instead of what is called iron seam stitching. The aqua colored upholstery is a much finer grain that I actually like better because it doesn't absorb dirt like the original material
