Whats ya'll opinion on gaskets? Do yall use them or just put sealant on? Or do yall use both? This will be for valve cover, oil pan, differantial cover

When it comes to the oil pan I use the gasket with some sealant, with the V6 you are limited to a cork gasket and from my experience it alone will not do the job. As far as the valve covers most kits come with a rubber type gasket that works well by itself and many V6 valve covers already have the slots for the gaskets to lock in. For differential RTV(silicone) is fine by itself without a gasket.

On things I don't plan on removing for a while I use sealant. On the valve covers I would use sealant on one side as I may need to remove them for valve adjustment.
