I admit I have done some crazy stuff regarding what I paid for hard-to-find and rare GMC accessory items on Ebay, but I can at least say I have never took a beating as bad as the winner of this auction just did - check it out. He obviously wanted a right side door mirror real real real real real real real real bad
Ebay Auction item 221400584320 I own an exact same NOS 1960 right hand door mirror and arm for my 1960 GMC Suburban, but I paid more like 40.00 or something more normal for mine.....I mean, we're talking about a door mirror right? I realize the 1960 short arms and 1961 long mirror arms are not reproduced, and neither are the off-set correct mirrors, but geez....this type of auction is what hurts us all where NOS parts buying is concerned - once sellers see something going for a certain amount, then that is what it becomes "worth" because that is just what worth is - what somebody is willing to pay. I couldn't sleep so I decided to post a rant instead looks like ![]()

I just received a original, complete lighter assembly- plug and play- that I paid $15 all up from the 67-72 Forum from a guy parting a truck. I had to fill the hole in the dash and wanted a power port, since the truck didn't come with one, and the filler plug was long gone. A new one is about 18.00 + plus shipping.
It pays to check out the clubs and forums for this stuff. If you can't find it right then, you can search and find what things really sell for. eBay is ok, but there are some there who think they possess something like solid gold sometimes. The description is a bit hyped and then the unknowing go on a bidding frenzy thinking it must be the last one on Earth. There's also the occasion shill as well...
