Default 379 Flywheel on eBay

I've not seen this before and I know the 379's are rare.

Is this the rare piece needed to convert a 478 into a light pick up?

Glad someone here got it!

I think that might be the flywheel that bolts to a 478 crank but takes a regular clutch.

I was worried about the 696059 casting number on the flywheel but the books having P/N 696057. I received it yesterday and it is 16" in diameter with a 191 tooth ring gear. It will fit in a light duty bell housing without any starter issues. It will obviously needs to be drilled for a smaller pressure plate. Besides the different counter balance weights and flange bolt hole count the last 3/4" of the 305's face was machined down from the friction surface whereas the 379's face runs to the ring gear. I'll throw it on the shelf and keep it in stock.

BTW, casting numbers and actual part numbers sometimes differ. Often one casting can be machined in different ways to create different part numbers.

Yeah I've ran into that before, one part that comes to mind is the clutch fork which is part number 3765372 but the casting is 3765374
