Any running good 305D engines out there for sale?
Hey guys; just bought a real cool 61 K1000 and its 305D appears to be locked up. We are soaking the cylinders in diesel oil and have the rocker shafts similarly soaking etc, so crossing fingers we can resurrect it, but I figured since the 305D is fairly common and not expensive to buy (sometimes you can't give one away) maybe one of you happen to have one known to run good or be freed up and would run etc? OK so maybe I should ask this: what is the difference in a 61 305A (later style w 2bbl not the early one with the Holly 1904) and 305D? heads someway better on a D over A?
