OK. I come home for lunch and read what some of you guys have to do to keep your rigs running. Dealing with the small town parts counter yayos . ordering everything for your trucks online. Rust like I have never seen. The lack of good used parts locally. WOW. The only stuff I order is window and door rubber. I have a main napa store with a warehouse that covers acres. I have another local supplier that has a half of a city block. I can walk in and walk out with everything from clutches, starters, waterpumps. tranny parts, carb kits, even everything to rebuild the toggle and link power steering. I have never bought a new windshield for a 60-72 truck. Or for that mater any piece of glass. 20 bucks at the pull and save yards. I could fill the back of a truck with 420 transmissions in a couple of hours @ 55.00 each Plus the high humps to go with most of them. I know of at least a dozen 60-66 gmc trucks in local yards and double that amount of chevys . I also have the benefit of some salvage haulers and wreaking yard guys that call me and give me first shot at the rigs on my list. So I have to commend all of you that work very hard to keep your stuff going. And I really have to say its quite impressive.

Do you know anything about this kind of power assist brakes? It works fine but I am going to need parts eventually.

Its a midland booster. Its rebuild-able. I really want a shot of the steering toggle and link. You better hide it from Steve in Alabama if its what I think it is

Yo, Barry's back! Sounds like you have lots of "resources" Barry to pull from.

I could not let pepsi spend to much on his clutch. Its a catholic guilt thing verses hard headed Norwegian thing.

Its all available. its the same as a corvette from the 70's. The parts guys wont have a listing for a 62 gmc but they will for a 79 vette. Ram, valve or valve seal kit, and valve to ram hoses. GM actually used this setup for over 40 years. Tell your neighbor most of what he needs can be found under an early 60's chevy fullsize pretty easily.
