Does it matter which bank of valves has the breather on it? Engine is a 1963 305E. I have plaid valve covers and the front of the cover with the breather (right side bank) is starting to flake off so I'm thinking of switch valves covers to the left side so this bad spot faces the firewall.

The one in my truck has 2 breathers. One of the parts motors has one breather and a cap. The other parts motor is a 66 and it doesn't have a breather and one cap but the PVC filter has a tube that goes into the air cleaner and it also has what looks like plugged holes in the exhaust manifold for smog equipment.
