'61 GMC Panel Van resurrection on Youtube
A couple of videos I found on YouTube:
Part 1: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bO6pnQ0TY04 Part 2: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8HdCU2ADB7U He gets it running first and drives it in the second video. The V6 starts right up and it produces a nice rumble in the driving video. He says he has more plans for the truck, at least getting the brakes fixed etc. Needs a ton of rust repair though. Hope you enjoy. |

Thanks Prowbar,
I really enjoyed that link. That is a huge panel truck and I'm glad he got to rescue it. I noticed that the gas tank was placed right behind the driver-side door, so I hope he shows later on what that tank looks like. Looked like a lot of fun getting it running and driving it too. I look forward to the next video. :signthankspin: |

These panel vans must be a pretty rare sight nowadays? Especially an early one like that? Glad you enjoyed it. |

Ed, I noticed those chrome T-Handles mounted to the top of the front fenders of your Panel. What purpose do they serve?

you dont see many panels, glad to see him reviving this one. i like the small windows on the rear. i have a 61 chevy panel it doesn't have the windows, and the fuel fill is behind the rear tire. did all gmc panels have the fill in front of the wheel?
