I found this in regards to maintenance for a manual box and if you want to have it rebuilt or buy here are the two options searched.
https://www.performanceonline.com/19...ring-Gear-Box/ https://redheadsteeringgears.com/abo...SAAEgJmVfD_BwE $270 Including tax, shipping etc. (?) double check this price "Just got done putting in my the rebuilt manual steering box I had done by Red Head. Wow, when they say "zero play" that is exactly what they mean. I've never driven a manual box without any slop before. Rolling down the road, it's comparable to driving a late model but without the power assist. This is a great alternative for those who don't want to convert to power." |

Attached is the best write-up I found. They specified ep lithium grease. They also noted a danger in overfilling. The best way to do this is disassemble, clean and refill. Just adding grease risks incompatibility and overfilling.
I hope this helps. Regards Steve New Orleans |
Re: manual steering box
I have dealt with Red Head Steering Gear twice, and I am VERY satisfied with their work. They actually cost a little bit less than the chain parts store.:rowdybeer:
