New Vent Window Assemblies
4 Attachment(s)
OK, I started playing with my vent windows today, the drop in as they should, and the holes seems to line up perfect. I need to pickup new screws once I figure our what size they are. (**** I've changed everything else, might as well get these new too).
Once I get ready I'll do my best to write up what I did to install them, but I wanted to post some pictures for y'all. One question I have is if you look at the OEM factory installation picture, were these units put in as an entire assembly? because the only way to get the vent glass channel in the door is to turn it 90 degree so that the brace flange fits in the top window opening. Let me know what you think, if you have done this before. |
Re: New Vent Window Assemblies
Also note the factory installer is putting the sash seal in with both pieces of glass--3 loose items and 2 hands. No wonder factory tolerances were a little sloppy in the day. But, without the sash, it all goes in. (Apparently)

I put the rollup window in and let it sit at the bottom of the door then I put the vent window and then the sash that I lifted up on the rollup window , I was afraid I was gonna scratch my door putting it in the way show in the book
