Need 4x4 front brake hose Part Number
Purchased what O'Reillys said. No good. The wheel cylinder end is wrong size. I may have to change the plumbing from orig to get a hose that has a 3/8-24 male end for the cylinder. Any help appreciated.

Re: Need 4x4 front brake hose Part Number
Found that the 3/4T wheel cylinder inlet is 7/16-20 which matches the hose. Will try to use those. The mounting pattern is different for the 3/4T cylinder and the bore is 1 1/8" instead of 1". Will see if it physically fits, if so will drill backing plate to accommodate mounting unless someone chimes in and tells me I'm crazy.

OK , I know I'm talking to myself here, but to close this issue, I drilled and tapped the wheel cylinders to accept the hose.

Azken, I looked up the part number as 3773168.

Re: Need 4x4 front brake hose Part Number
Thank you Funky. From what I can find online re that number, that hose won't work for me. I was hoping there was a hose that would fit right on. The correct length hose with the correct frame end, but incorrect wheel cylinder end, is BrakeBest BH34466 @ O'Reilly. The correct wheel cylinder is WC14205 / WC14206. The inlet on the wheel cylinder is 3/8-24 but the hose end is 7/16-20. Fortunately it is SAE and the 3/8-24 can be drilled out (13/32) and retapped with a normal tap, to 7/16-20. Notice the "frame" end of the hose has male AND female threads. This is necessary for the original fitting/retainer/banjo to work, both front hoses are the same. This is for the front of 1960 K1000. This truck, being "first year", has some one or two year only ideas, the parts stores don't know anything about GMC and I found these parts by searching 1960 Chevrolet K10. All is good now. Maybe someday someone will find this thread and it will help them sort it out.
