Very nice Steve. Is this a true single stage paint, i.e.. no clear coat? Which type of Summit red paint did you use?
Does the paint match an original truck in terms of gloss and appearance?

Hi David, I used the same summit single stage on my 53 and can say it does appear to be more glossy than the factory paint. There is no clear coat placed additionally on this paint although you can do it if you like. The Summit paint comes reduced so you only need to add your hardner to it at 4to1.

Thanks Steve. Thinking about using the Summit paint to paint mine as well. I like that its a true single stage paint, which are hard to find over here.
Planning to go with the flame red. I hope this matches the original flame red that my truck was painted, have see if I can obtain a color palette or something to compare.
Need to find a matching white as well.

Nice job! My plan is to keep it original.

Hello all,
Got a few things done on the 64 lately. The cab is now ready to mate with the chassis.
Installed the windshield and panoramic rear window. It was so much easier to arm wrestle with those chores with the cab on the dolly. Much better than leaning over freshly painted fenders.

The cab is once again on the chassis, it has been a long time.
