I'm new to this forum but I obtained a 1960 4wd fleetside no engine rusted floor dented body my intent not to offend is to skin a late model GMC Sierra HD 4WD with the 1960 body painted the original colors. Any thoughts

Welcome Paulywog! That's sounds like quite the endeavor. You must be quite the fabricator. Let's see the "Skin" you plan to use to wrap it all up.

The skin I'm referring to is the 60 GMC body. I plan to utilize the late model GMC truck's floor, firewall, dash and seats. I've measured the 1960 cab and a late model and they are very close. So I believe grafting the 1960 cab to the floor and firewall shouldn't be that bad. That way I won't have any issues with the curvature of the late model frame rails. with the bed I plan to disassemble the bed and attach the exterior bed body panels of the 60 to the interior panels of the late model. So I'm on the hunt for a regular cab with an 8 foot fleet side donor truck 2012-2014. Which means I have a bunch of parts including a rolling chassis for someone who wants to restore a 1960.
