found this one in idaho, motor is stuck, i do have extra 351 that ran what do you guys think? it's all there, glass is good last registered eas 1986, should I part out out or build with my son, floors are not rusted through, windshield header looks pretty solid, rear bedside smashed in

I don't know how hard it is to find a hood, but if you have a 351 already I'd say that looks like a great project for you and your boy. He'd learn things you won't other find ways to teach him while you put it back together.
Then when you're worm food in a few years you won't have to worry about him. He'll be able to fix his own cars because you raised him right!

I have the hood and a extra hood, I took it of to tow home, the hinges were seized, that's a great point! it's all there so it will be worth it

so I got the engine to turn 1 time by hand then locked solid , now won't turn back, inspected all cylinders no rust only one bent pushrod, any idea what would of happened? it maybe the clutch came apart and bound up, has anyone see these engines turn 1.time the lock solid? oil is full just dark

When I got my 62, it would turn to a given point and stop, but it would also go backwards to the same point and stop again. Put a bunch of Marvel Mystery oil in the cylinders and it freed up after a couple of days.
A broken or jammed timing chain could give you your condition too. |
