I have a Dana 60 rear end with 8 lug and I want to change to 5 or 6 lug. Could anyone tell me my options.

One thing I can tell you is GM did offer a 6 lug Dana 60 for half ton pickups from 1967-69 and possibly later. It was usually paired up with the 396 bigblock option. Your idea is not far fetched at all. There are custom axle manufacturers that can make six lug axles
for a Dana 60. |

I have a 1964 GMC 1500. 2 WD. What is the expectation for the rear end? Did Dana 60 come with 3/4 ton 2 WD?

The Dana 60 did come in all 3/4 ton GMC trucks from 1960-66 as well as 1967-72, even some Chevrolet 2wd trucks from 1970-72 came with the Dana 60.
