I am in the process of restoring a 1966 GMC 1000 with a 351 V6 and need a complete exhaust. I found a company that has systems for the 305 V6. Does anyone know if the crossover for the 305 will fit the 351? Or, does anyone have a source for a 351 exhaust? THANKS.

my understanding is that the non magnum 351s have the same exhaust manifold as a 305. The magnum 351 has different manifolds.

The mounting flanges on the exhaust pipe are the same that lead to the exhaust manifolds so it will all bolt right up. On my 68 I had a custom dual exhaust made up for it when I still had the 305E, when converting over to the 478M I used 351E exhaust manifolds and everything bolted right up with no modifications. The company the builds this particular exhaust probably was not aware of the availability of the 351E in 1966 considering only the 305 engine was offered from 1960-65.

The mounting flanges are the same on the 351E, only the passages of the manifolds are bigger, even the I beam manifold used on Magnum engines with the triangular flange will bolt up to the 305E exhaust.

Thanks to everyone for taking time to respond to my exhaust question. Looks like I will order the system I found for the 305.
