Hey Gang,
I have not been posting much - political life and work has me a bit busy. I'm ready to put the dash in and remembered that I'll need a Speedo adaptor since I've changed the rear gears. I went from 3.92 down to 3.23 and I have a mechanical speedo. My tire size is 75R15, I seem to remember that there was a company that makes the adaptors that attach to the end of the cable at the transmission. I have a 4 speed factory hydramatic. I searched Google and found this company - anyone know them? http://www.partshp.com/speedometer_gears.htm Thanks Jake |

Hi Jake. Two things. First a few people I know have bought from these guys and have had no problems with them. Second I would put it all together and run it and use a GPS app on a phone and get a good reading on actual MPH vs what is showing on speedo. Then a suitable adapter can be found. These adapters were installed in millions of vehicles from the 60's to the late 80's. I keep about 40-50 around and have never paid more than 5 bucks for one. Lately I have been paying 25 cents each for these at pull and save.. here ate some I got a few weeks back for a buck.
