season 15, Episode 14, "High School Truck". The show is making upgrades to the interior, carb and tank, etc. Keeping the V-6. You can probably find this Netflix or prime.

What is the best way to replace crankcase vent filter? does the cap pull off or unscrew ? Need a lil help 1963 305E V6. Thanks JM

it sounds like it hasn't been off in quite a while. Try soaking it in a strong penetrating oil for a period of time, then using a strap-type oil filter wrench on the upper part of the housing to loosen the filter lid. hopefully, it will turn loose.

Oil filter wrench is a good idea, also put a little grease on the threads when you put it back on.

Well tried 7 different tools, still cant remove cap to crankcase vent filter, soaked in carb cleaner then penetrating oil , wont budge. any suggestions ? want to keep original sooooo? run out of filter wrench ideas. JM

Try a little heat with a propane torch then before cooling shoot around the base with and Penetration oil, do this each day for three days, letting it sit, on the forth day take a wrench to it.
