Hi guys, I have a new-to-me 65 GMC 1000 that I'm fixing up and I've been trying to keep things stock or take them back to stock. I have a cheapo plastic "chrome" mirror on the truck now that I hate.
I came across this accessory guide: Having a heck of a time finding the GMC Swing Lock mirrors anywhere. I've seen a few sets of of chevy mirrors that look similar but as I understand, they are different than the GMC counterparts. Does anyone have pics of what factory Swing Lock mirrors look like on their truck? Does anyone know the original manufacturer, and are they still around? I heard it was Delbar but can't confirm. As an alternative, I'm also looking at the Re-Trac mirrors shown on that accessory guide, because the Re-Track company is still around and allegedly still sells these under part numbers 611706 & 611708. I can't find them for sale anywhere online and have reached out to the company directly to ask where to get them. If anyone has pictures of these Re-Trac mirrors on their truck I'd love to see them. Finally, the accessory guide lists the 5" x 10" Stainless. Same questions as above -- does anyone have pics of them on their truck, or know where to get them? Thanks! |

I am in a similar situation. I did find the re-trac website with the part numbers you listed - here it is.

Yep that's what I found as well. I traded emails with someone there and they are supposed to email me a few local distributors who carry their products as they don't sell direct to consumer. Will post whatever I find out back to this site with regard to prices.
Still hoping some folks can post pics of their mirrors. |

I like the look of them, but when I had some mounted up, they created too much of a blind spot for me.
I'll post up a photo later.

Hard to tell what style these are from your pic but they are at least size wise about the same as the Re-Trac mirrors. I've heard similar blind spot concerns about west coast jr mirrors in general. What did you replace em with?
Ive called and emailed multiple places today that I was given by ReTrac as local sources, but coming up short so far. Last edited by Praxiss454; August 16th, 2016 at 05:21 AM. Reason: Typo |

I switched to these square ones. They tend to be shaky and vibrate some.

I ended up finding a local place that could order the Re-Trac mirrors for me for about $200 plus tax for a set, but decided to go another route for some NOS Swing Locks I found on eBay.

I got JR West Coasts for my 66 chevy. They aren't Stock, but they fit the truck well IMOP.

Are those the CIPA mirrors? They look.good. How are the mounts? I've heard some aftermarket mirrors can take quite a bit.
