Guys, the shop manual for my 65 305E says to set the lifters at .012 Intake Cold and .018 Ex Cold. Any suggestions anyone might have from experiences past good or not-so-good would be welcome!!!

That's the #s but unless you plan to run it hard I set the exhaust at .016. Its a little quieter. Plus you will need to set them again after it breaks in.

Thanks Barry, I appreciate the head's up. By the way, I am still interested in one of the OD boxes you mentioned in a previous email trail. Mine is the K1500 with the 420 4spd so your comments re a short driveline from the trans to the box is a concern. IF I were going to do this, how would you suggest connecting the two??
