Is anyone familiar with this axle conversion kit?
http://www.performanceonline.com/196...XLE-KIT-5-LUG/ It lists as 1965-up, but I'm wondering if it will still work on a '61 Dana 10 bolt (limited slip and 3.07 gears). |

Nope, it won't work. The shafts in that kit are intended for the GM 12 bolt truck rear axle. This rear is a totally different design from the Dana.
On the other hand, any machine shop should be able to redrill your present shafts to the 5-lug pattern, and it won't cost any $350 either. Ray Last edited by raycow; February 19th, 2013 at 05:26 PM. |

The last set I had drilled for a jeep cost me $75.00. Drill baby drill!

Thanks, it was in with a mess of parts that I got. I'll hang onto it until I have a 12-bolt app I can use it on.
