In today's politically correct environment, those parents would probably be arrested for child endangerment, and the kids turned over to child welfare authorities.

Cool photo Ed!
That sure must’ve made it challenging to drive that truck. I have not seen one of those campers that tall before with the view windows.

I thought it might be a pop-up too, until I found these photos. Sorry about posting Ford photos here!

I remember those! The Del Reys and the Kamp King Koaches. The bed over the cab folded up into a forward facing bench seat.

The original owner of my truck purchased it with a Kamp King, but not the super tall one with the sun deck.
Thanks for posting that link. |

ED - Some really crazy campers in that attachment. I liked the French one close to the bottom, large BC on the side, and looked like Buck Rogers and Wilma Deering should be getting into it.
Guy that sold seedcorn to Dad and a bunch of neighbors bought a brand new '67 Chevy C-20, 327 I think, and 4-speed and installed one of those stretched slide-in campers "To see the countryside". After his first trip and single digit miles per gallon I don't think they took the camper very far from home again. |
