Browsing around on the internet and ran across this truck for sale. I'm not completely sure, but I do believe this would have the GMC 478 V6. I'd love to have one of those beasts! I'd do some very minor mods to it and put it in a fenderless GMC rat rod! If I had the cash and the time, I'd buy the thing, swap in a V8, resell the truck and keep the V6.

I agree, that truck should have a 478 in it.
I used to drive a '62 GMC with a 478 V-6. First year it was out. Bill

As well as having a 478M V6 the 1970 7500 series were available with the 351M and 401M engines, the 351C was the standard engine in these trucks from 1966-69 maybe even 1970.
