Can anyone tell me: The model number of our 1963 is 3505...not 3500. Can anyone tell me if this is a 1 ton..or something else.
The tag on the door reads: 3505 P G1971D. Thanks |

a 3500 series truck is what people think of as a 2 ton, but it should have a GVW rating of 14000 lbs, 7 tons, or 16000 lbs. it would be the smallest of the bigger trucks.
35 = Model 3500 05 = wheelbase, 157" P = built in Pontiac MI G = series 1963 1971 = serial number D = DOT GVW rating, 14,001–16,000 lbs.
