How I Made My Own Flywheel Bolts
After much searching and finding no new flywheel bolts, I decided to make my own. The problem I had in finding the right bolts was because of the shank length versus the thread length. At some point I noticed that two-inch bolts had nearly the right shank length, but the threaded portion was too long. To remedy that, I devised a cutting wheel jig and cut the new bolts to length on an engine lathe. The new flywheel bolts have a larger head surface area and head height, but there is plenty of room both on the flywheel and for the clutch disk. The shank is 0.100 longer, but there is still room for more. In the end, I cut new bolts to the exact length, and they work perfectly.
If anybody needs bolts, I can make them.
