The correct color is a Red/Orange also referred to as Brick Red. You can get Duplicolor 1605 Ford engine red which is basically identical to the GMC Red. Many do use Chevrolet Moly Orange as a substitute and GMC did actually paint their engines in Chevrolet Moly Orange from 1972-74 for production vehicles.
