A few years back I was working on a 65 or 66 Chivy C10, the customer brought in some reproduction fenders, they did not fit even close
. I ended up cutting the top mounting surfaces off the original fenders and grafting them to the new fenders which gave it the proper fit and of course the metal is a lot thinner on the reproduction fenders
