That sounds like what I have - 67 half w 305 originally, although now a 351 and three on the tree and a 3.08 rear end. Stumbled on it a few years ago and that's when I learned about the v6. Not really looking to sell, but not totally stuck on it either, then I'm a little further away from you than Montana too
