305E questions (again)
Hey guys - the mechanic shop working on regasketing and new clutch install on my 64 305E called and said they need a water pump gasket which none of the warehouses supporting out local stores seem to have, and they want me to decide what to do about replacing the filter in that cannister housing on the back left of the block - (crankcase breather thing that unscrews). My filter is paper and cannot be reused where I know some of you said they are sometimes metal - their idea is to stuff steel wool in there and screw the cap back on....what should I do?
I also badly need some bolt locks for the 305E exhaust manifolds - I assume these cannot be bought, so does anyone have a clean re-useable set to sell?
