What Happened to Jolly's 6066 GMC Page?
As some of you may have noticed, http://6066gmcguy.com/ goes nowhere recently. The domain returns no IP address, which would be a sign of either the domain being canceled, or perhaps a bill not being paid to the hosting company.
Does anyone know the status of Jolly's page? Are they OK? Do they need somewhere to park the site for a while? I could possibly help if that were the case, as I have a server that I could host it on. Gibson Nashville |

And wouldn't you know it, after I wrote the note above, the site works again. Weird.
No idea if he is still around or not. Gibson |

Re: What Happened to Jolly's 6066 GMC Page?
Ok, interestingly, I tried four different computers and my cell phone while on my wireless network and could not get in. So I disabled wifi on my cell phone and was able to load the page through the cell system. I will contact my internet provider to see if they can fix this.

Re: What Happened to Jolly's 6066 GMC Page?
Hey all, The website is definitely up and running. I believe the issue is about security. If I connect to the site using Microsoft Edge, it brings up the site but gives me a security warning.
That is because the site does not support https. If you add the "s" after http such as https://6066gmcguy.com/ it will not bring up the website and gives me the following message" It looks like 6066gmcguy.com closed the connection That is likely a setting in your browser that will not let you go to "unsecure" sites, those without the "s" This link explains the issue relatively well https://www.godaddy.com/resources/sk...-what-happened |
Re: What Happened to Jolly's 6066 GMC Page?
I talked to my ISP and they said that one of the two DNS servers was not working and if you happened to connect to that one, you would get the server not found error. They set their system to look at the other DNS server and I haven't had any trouble getting in since then.
