http://media-cache-ec0.pinimg.com/23...5d80b3dd95.jpg I like this as one of my favorites. I'm also curious on how the cabs are / were originally painted on the inside, carpet, no carpet? enamel? |

I mostly meant the blue / white cab is among my favorite paint schemes, but I do want to stay within the realm of rest-mod. I'd like to paint it to look decent, as i'm not into the patina style (i see patina and i assume farm truck, or i look at its potential, no offense to anybody, just not my thing). I was near buying a '63 step side, but i broke my arm and haven't been working for couple weeks and have ER bills :pullinghairout: so now I'm just sitting down an researching / bumming that i don't have it as planned :banghead::banghead::banghead: |
Re: Original paint schemes and colors
minus the rust / lowering it, are these original break lines for the paint?

Re: Original paint schemes and colors
I see ones like this:
#1 http://imagehost.vendio.com/preview/...405693JS-4.jpg and others like this (though this is a chevy, its a nice picture / clean paint) #2 http://classictrucks.net/wp-content/...pside_A3EB.jpg then i see these #3 http://completeautocare.net/Melvin/1...CPickup551.jpg and also: #4 http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/a...1&d=1325887325 I want to make sure that i do the correct break lines for the paint |
Re: Original paint schemes and colors
#2 / #3 are my favorite, #3 would be a bit harder to paint though (not as big of a deal)

Re: Original paint schemes and colors
#1 is a 62. #2 is a 63 chev. 3 is a 66. #4 is a62.

Re: Original paint schemes and colors
I can't seem to read that one, i'll try zooming in later, thanks for the links! I thought about going solid black with a thick high-gloss enamel as well, but I can't find any examples of black W/ a white hood right now, i'd like to see that contrast.
