'64 GMC Questions
2 Attachment(s)
So I just purchased this truck and now I am on an education trip. Here is what I have learned:
- It is a 1964 (Due to the location of the missing VIN tag :( (the picture is just for reference). - It has the 305C engine. - It has 6 lug wheels. - It has a 19,500 GVWR sticker. Questions: - I think it is a "4000" how can I confirm this? - Where is the best place to buy 1 piece rims to replace the split rims upfront? - Should it have "V6" and "GMC4000" emblems on it? - If so, are those reproduced? Thanks |

Welcome to the forum Crownstables!
Does this truck have a Data Plate? |
Re: '64 GMC Questions
I don't think the emblems are reproduced but here a some listed on eBay. Looks like two styles so more research to see which one would be correct.

Re: '64 GMC Questions
that plaquard has both engines offered in the truck. gmc did that so plaquards wouldn't be needed for both engines.

Re: '64 GMC Questions
There should be a Parts Identification Plate, mounted on the inside of the glove compartment door.
All 3500 and up had them. |
Re: '64 GMC Questions
I verified the engine is a 305C by the stamping on the pad by the passenger head. Unfortunately someone in the past has taken the VIN plate off of the door frame and the Data Plate off of the glovebox door.
