Re: After 5 years sitting running again! NEED MUFFLER
Does that one on Ebay you bought 2 of bolt up and fit? If it does, YOU might be the sealer!
It looks like it has open contacts on the back. Just plug it in, seal the plug up with silicone, and that should get you done. If you can't seal it with silicone, buy a 3.00 tube of dielectric grease and schmear it over the exposed contacts. Boom done. |

Awesome! I'm going to keep an eye on this thread and see how it turned out. I will tell you to use a glove or rag if you use dielectric grease. You caint hardly wash that stuff off!
Good luck, sailor! |
Re: After 5 years sitting running again! NEED MUFFLER
Well with Pepsi's encouragement I did give the silicon seal a shot. Came out very well though I won't know for a bit how watertight it is. I also put a good size ring of it around the area that goes through the firewall. And on the outside.
You can see the contacts and the first on the left is the high-speed contact. The second from left after the gap is the ground or negative. The one on the right is Positive (it has two connection posts), but I only used one.https://6066gmcclub.com/album.php?al...pictureid=4738 Here it is siliconed https://6066gmcclub.com/album.php?al...pictureid=4739 And this is the specific silicon I used https://6066gmcclub.com/album.php?al...pictureid=4740 Welps put the domain in too but can't seem to get the **** pics to take???
