Re: Kanter rebuild kits
That sounds like a lot, until you have a set built.

Re: Kanter rebuild kits
There is one seller on ebay that was selling reproduction 401 pistons for $550:teehee:

Ten years ago, I bought a set of .060 pistons for a 305 dirt cheap. The shipping was more than I paid for the set. |
Re: Kanter rebuild kits
So, I got a super helpful response from Kanter......
"Hi, we sell individual engine parts. You can view our on-line catalog or e-mail your mailing address for a catalog." To which I've asked what I thought was a reasonable question: "Hello, If you don't have the rebuild kit in stock, then why is it still listed? Also, when you say that you sell individual parts, does that mean you still have everything in stock for what a person would need for a rebuild? Still referring to a 1961 305D" Proving some folks don't believe in customer service anymore (it's a pet peeve of mine, as that's a large part of my job), he's come back with the following: "View our on-line catalog. What is listed, should be in stock." :banghead: I mean yea, I take his point. But, some folks just aren't built to be helpful. Anyway, I just thought I'd let y'all know that I've come up with bupkis. |
Re: Kanter rebuild kits
The two brothers that own the place probably spend more time in retirement than running it. As such, they more than likely have a bunch of dolts in customer service.

Re: Kanter rebuild kits
Actually those two brothers don't own it anymore, they're more less just employed by a corporation as figureheads.:teehee:
